Earthquake in Bali
On Oct 13, a 6.2 SR earthquake hit in Bali.
It was my first day of leaving my baby at the nursery. I don't feel really good about leaving her at the nursery but I thought it was just because I've never been separated from her before. She wasn't cried at all, in fact I was about to cry when I put her there. She looked happy playing with her new friend.
Around 11 am when I was at my sewing course (I learn to make clothing pattern) suddenly the earth is shaking, only for a few second and it stops. We all looked at each other wondering what was that? While we're still confused about what happened the and shaking is started again, this time is harder and all of us screaming and running out of the building. I feel so dizzy when running. It was about 10 seconds and the shaking stopped. I saw lots of people screaming and running out from their building.
My first thought was my baby. I was so worried and scared. I left my mobile phone in my bag and it was still inside the building. All are too scared to enter, afraid that the earthquake might started again. I immediately run again to enter the my classroom, grab my bag fast and running out again. I tried to call to the nursery if my baby is ok, but there's no phone signal. Gosh!
I run to the parking lot for my motorbike and drive fast back to the nursery. I saw some shopping centre with shattered glass and I hope nothing really happened at the nursery. When I get there all the babies were sitting together eating mangoes. I feel so relieved. They're all fine. My baby was sleeping when the earthquake hit and one of the nanny grab her fast to run outside the building.
We then went home and I was shocked to see my kitchen wall cracked. Oh no!

Time to Give Back
I know I haven't made that huge sale on etsy, but it is never too early or too late to give back to the community. With help from my favorite Team: Carried Away : Etsy Bag Maker Team I will donate 30% off the sale from this Batik Wristlet to wateraid.org
I am hoping that in the future I will keep on doing my giving back program and hopefully I can donate to more organization and charity.
Rainy Season
I live in a tropical island and my country only have two seasons. Summer and Rainy Season. No autumn, no winter, just a bunch of sun half the year and pouring rains in the other half. I love it when the rainy season start, just like these days, they're some rain and still some sun, not too hot and not too wet...
Rain in the evening make me sleep even better with the sound of water making music at my roof and in the morning sun will come up and wet trees and soil produce an earthy smell. I really love it.
I love it in the morning when I opened the window and the Frangipani is blooming like this.
Or sometimes after the rain in the afternoon, I open my window and saw beautiful rainbow like this

Beautiful isn't it? Many of my friends doubt this foto is from my front window. Oh yes it is! I still have this paddyfield view in front of my house but they're about to gone fast as more and more farmer sell their land and people built houses. I am just hoping it won't be too fast before the paddyfield are completely gone. Maybe 100 years from now. Or maybe never!

October 2 is a National Batik Day in Indonesia. This is to celebrate the international recognition of Indonesian Batik Heritage. People will wear Batik on this day and I want to use Batik too for my next collection. I love the natural colors in Batik also the patterns. Lots of order from Heartsy
I have to promote my etsy shop and I needed a kick start to get sales and feedback and also a good exposure to my shop. So I joined on Heartsy.me they actually offered more than 50% discount which is actually not good for me (haha!). yup as the seller it's like giving away my stuff for free, well not exactly free because I still get money from selling heartsy voucher.
After reading lots of advice on the internet about the positif and negatif effect of it. I decide to go on with it. Here is what I did on Heartsy:
That's it! I'm done and this will be the most expensive promotion I've ever done. What I didn't prepare is that most of the voucher bought by VIP members.
Now, nothing to regret, most of my buyers are happy and so do I. I have to move on and make more bags and wristlet as my shop is almost empty and I have to fill it for the holiday sales. Cheers! *I need one more Magnum Choco Truffle*
