Autumn is Coming

I live in tropical island and we only have 2 seasons here, summer and rainy season. No autumn, no winter. But I always have something for autumn. I never experienced the real autumn yet, but from what I know the trees will go orange and red, the weather is getting colder and that sounds so romantic to me :-)

Here is some of my autumn collection. I hope someday I can travel to a country and see with my own eyes the real autumn season. at this time, I'll let my handmade purses go travelling abroad to their new owner and see the trees going orange and red.

Handmade Wristlets

It's been long time since last time I post something on this blog. I've been busy making wristlets from the colorful fabrics I had.

I made pleated wristlet because sometime I wanted to go out but dont want to bring a big bag. I only need to bring my wallet and my mobile phone and wristlets sounds so much fun. I also love pleats. I realize that almost all my handmade bags contains pleats on it.

After made this wristlet, I add resin pendant into it and a georgeous small batik and sateen flower to make it prettier. Here is some of the my new handmade wristlets. You may found all these on my etsy shop

A pouch for my small stuff

So, I am not really organized on my small stuff. Often I lost smal items in my bag like keys, lippies etc..

Now today I decide to make a small pouch to myself. I have this green polkadot fabric and creme satin bow. perfect combination for my small pouch. I also put a soft foam inside the pouch just to make sure that my small stuff wont damaged and if necessary I can also put my mobile phone or pocket camera inside.

Right so this is the pouch already full with my watch, camera, lippies, compact powder and small brush. I never know that all that stuff can fit inside here ^_^

My New Sewing Machine

Yay! Today I got my new sewing machine. My loving husband feel pity about me doing my crafty things by handstitching, not that I am good at it. This is one of my handstiching creations, a journal cover. Not really neat but everybody in the office notice that I am the only one who have a journal cover that cute (everybody have the elegant one with leather cover)

I used to learn using sewing machine since I was at elementary school. My mother was a tailor and she made me lots of georgeous dress, hair accesories, etc.. she also made all the table runner, tissue box, phone cover, place mats, bags etc etc.. I helped her alot during that time but I only sew everything straight and I really dont understand about patterns

When I grew up, I forgot about sewing machine and only this recently, after 10 years, I got my call and  I love handcrafting again and wishing that I have a sewing machine. I said that alot to my husband and I think he got the message (or he got bored hearing me whining about sewing machine - lol )

So well, this is my new portable sewing machine.. Tara..

It's completed with 8 kind of stiching with variation including button sewing and zigzag stitching..
I know one portable sewing machine that have 32 kins of stitching but they're expensive and this one just fit prefectly with me and my needs.

The first thing I did with my sewing machine is making scarfs for my dogs..

Look, they're cute isn't it?
